OCTOBER 26, 2026 · ROSS 60S5 · FIRST WORKING PILOT

The core flow now works.

Choose a suggested color and visual finish, make or import artwork, adjust placement, save a version, reopen it and download a Design discussion handoff. This is the first working creator Alex authorized.

How close are we to Chris’s request?

We now have the small choose-and-create workflow he described, working on one sourced body. The remaining distance is in the production references and broader creation tools: an approved blank master, physical washed colors, reusable production artwork, richer layouts and more bodies. A working pilot does not establish factory execution.

Use bodies we already do · call 00:52–01:02Ross 60S5 front study, linked to original M7926 / M7713 evidence. All color changes keep the same silhouette. The original CAD body is now in use with Alex’s visual approval. Confirm the final production master and pattern scale. Add the cuff, tank and baseball bodies after this trial.
10–15 seasonal colors, preferably real examples · 00:37–00:51All 15 source-backed suggestions are selectable. Nine have named mineral-wash references; other leads remain differentiated.Pixel colors are manually chosen approximations. Confirm the selected physical colors and washed result; a printed code is not a screen calibration.
A body, a wash and a screen · 00:33–00:37Source mineral-wash texture is retained across recolors, with the original body fixed and editable text or an uploaded image.Recoloring the source texture is a visual study, not a factory wash recipe. Other wash processes are not simulated.
Familiar fonts and artwork variations · Billions mini-creator texts16 font choices, editable words, upward/downward curvature, ink, spacing, size, rotation and placement. PNG/JPEG/WebP artwork can be saved with the design. One artwork layer at a time: text or image. No generated art, multi-layer composition or factory vector separations. The added fonts are bundled with their licenses.
Embroidery and appliqué choices · call 02:45–03:04Screen print, embroidery and fabric appliqué are recorded as technique intent in each saved design and handoff. The preview stays flat. It does not create stitch programs, appliqué construction, thread standards or trim instructions.
Make it easier for Design to execute · 01:22–01:58Saved versions, editable JSON, 1200×1400 preview PNG and ZIP handoff with body/color source IDs and hashes, notes and explicit gaps.Design still needs original artwork, physical scale/placement, current body specs and color/wash confirmation. A real Design trial is the next proof.

What is working well

  • The first meaningful action changes an actual garment study, rather than adding another research page.
  • Color changes preserve the body geometry. A source comparison remains one click away.
  • Names, source codes and evidence stay attached to suggestions. New combinations are not silently called existing production.
  • Saved designs reopen with their artwork, technique, color, finish, notes and relative placement intact.
  • Optional physical dimensions stay blank until entered. The old eight-inch assumption is not reused.

What the handoff contains

  • OPEN-HANDOFF.html: readable discussion sheet, with the preview, proposed details and limits.
  • preview.png: the saved design’s visual study, labeled as suggestions.
  • design.json: saved choices and version, with body/color context.
  • source-links.json: source identities and hashes.
  • artwork.png: when artwork was imported. This is a preview derivative resized to at most 1200 pixels, not the original production master.

No email is sent. Artwork is uploaded to this public shared workspace when a version is saved. Export does not release a technical pack, sample request or production instruction.

Verification

  • 14 local backend checks and 14 cloud worker checks pass: versioned saving, restart recovery, conflict rejection, export contents, catalog validation, image validation and private storage boundaries.
  • Browser tested text editing, font/technique selection, all 15 colors, presets, undo/redo, refresh recovery and saved-design reopening.
  • Transparent artwork was imported, moved by dragging and keyboard, saved and exported.
  • Downloaded a real handoff ZIP and checked its saved revision, preview hash, source references and blank physical dimensions.
  • Downloaded and re-imported an editable draft as a new design. Existing versions stayed intact.
  • Two-window conflict test kept the stale draft visible; reopening the newer version first downloaded a backup of that draft.
  • Desktop and a 390px browser viewport were inspected. Editing, saving and preview download worked at 390px without page overflow.

Responsive browser checks are not a physical-phone test. No physical color match, factory approval or completed Design/sample trial is claimed.

Self-review and improvements

The requested first working creator is delivered. The core flow can be tried end to end. It is deliberately small enough to reveal what Design needs before more bodies and treatments are added.

During testing, the initial preview was too tall; resizing exposed a grid-sizing issue that clipped the SVG. Both were fixed and the whole garment was checked again. Conflict recovery was also improved so a stale draft can be backed up before opening a newer version.

The visual body correction is complete. The original CAD body now replaces the approximation. Next confirm physical washed colors, the final production master and production artwork. Then add multi-layer text/image composition if the trial requires it. More effects or more bodies should follow a useful Design handoff.

Try this review flow.

Choose Dusty Rose or another suggestion. Type a short graphic or upload artwork. Adjust its placement, save a version, then download the handoff. Review three things together: does it stay recognizably 60S5, does the color direction work, and does the handoff tell Design what needs confirming? Our next external proof is a Design-reviewed example; nothing has been sent.

October 26 update

Alex approved the original-source 60S5 visual body. It is now used in the creator with fixed neckline, seams and proportions. Recoloring preserves the original texture. Sixteen font options and upward/downward text curvature save and export with the design. Physical color standards and final production master remain separate.
